Search Google Code for the script "Minify". It minifies your js and css on the fly, and re-minifies automatically when you upload a new file, so you won't have to worry about it ever again. :)

@Lea

I find myself always tweaking CSS rules even after a project is finished, so I find it kind of a hassle to de-minify, edit source and minify again.

Still, this method was not supposed to be a remedy for extra whitespace in CSS, just a try to organize properties in a way that makes sense.

Minify your CSS and you won't have to worry about wasting bandwidth with whitespace :)

Personally, I've recently started to use even MORE whitespace, by indenting CSS rules that refer to descendants of elements that are targeted in other CSS rules. It makes big CSS files soooo much easier to scan that I think I'll stick with it for ever.

@Gerasimos

I have, in FancyCage CSS. If you're happy with one-liners, won't really work for you. But I'm not really content with any of the two solutions, and this just made sense to the way I code CSS.

Nice approach, makes really sense although i'm sticking with the 1 per line style. I just can't get used of anything else.

@Sugar: Have you tried this style yet?

@John Ain't trying to find a property by scanning horizontally kind of a pain?

After some years of looking at code, I think the only way I can scan is vertically :/

I've become a big fan of single-line coding, lately... The hybrid solution you presenting here it's interesting, although I believe that the single-line approach rocks!
