Crash
I’ve read and heard so much for this movie. Different opinions and harsh arguments (bless IMDb) from both sides. But I decided to give it a go, even if I’m late for the Oscar show.
I call a movie good when it touches me AND (like in && - absolute AND) has something to say. For example, the last scene in Titanic touched me, even got me wiping my tears off my embarassed eyes, but didn’t have absolutely nothing to give to me. On the contrary, Mulholland Dr. maaaybe had something to say, but didn’t touch me at all. Maybe because, hmm…I DIDN’T GET AN F’ING WORD. (sorry, fans, I guess I’m shallow)
But opinions are always subjective and humble, and in my humble opinion, “Crash” was a good, good movie. Several people lives revolving around racism, with constant up’s and down’s.
If you want to give a Canadian a chance to tell you about racism in States, give it a spin. You’ll like it.
(Matt Dillon & Thandie Newton were the extra touch for me, I love them)
