All the MySpace hype is too overrated, in my opinion.

I guess it's another characteristic of our Internet times...

i don't think it's scary as much as it's an admission of what people really do on sites like Myspace.com. I asked my little sister (college student) about it, and she saw it as a natural extension of how she and her friends periodically checked each other's profiles to see if someone hot was on or off the market, or whether there was something new to gossip about.

I'm working on an opt-out function this weekend. DatingAnyone.com just uses the friendslist as an input. If you really aren't comfortable with someone looking at those aspects of your profile, why are you friends with them on Myspace in the first place?

Scary. Very, very scary.

It is sad that folks are both promoting this sot of activity by creating this tool and profiting from it as well.

Just another reason not to touch MySpace with a ten foot pole.

Shameless plug for <a href="http://www.datinganyone.com" rel="nofollow">DatingAnyone.com</a>, same concept but with many more advanced features...

Imports your entire friendslist in seconds.
Browse your friends by status, age, gender
RSS XML feeds for inclusion on custom Google / Yahoo Homepages.

Cheers
