Web Standards make you hot

Well, apparently, Web Standards are working like a charm in order to build you a sexy profile.

I made a brief research on that, with seven names that came directly to my mind while thinking “Web Standards”. Check these hotties out, in no particular order:

Andy BuddCameron MollSimon Collison

Molly E. HolzschlagJeffrey ZeldmanDave Shea

Dan Cederholm

If you don’t know them, from left to right : Andy Budd, Cameron Moll, Simon Collison, Molly E. Holzschlag, Jeffrey Zeldman, Dave Shea, Dan Cederholm.

Standards make you hot as an oven-hot bun, don’t they?

P.S.1. Apparently, this is a fun topic. I’m neither related nor affiliated to any of the above persons. However, I respect their work immensely.
P.S.2. No girlfriends/wives, boyfriends/husbands were harmed during the making of this post. I hope noone is offended.
P.S.3. Feel free to nag me to add yourself.

Heh, I love the fact that they personalities have taken on a rock-star status in the web dev world. Seriously, people salivate over the mere mention of these people.

Ironically, if you ask anyone outside of the community who these people are, you’d see a lot of shrugging shoulders. Hell, if you asked them who Paul Rand was, they wouldn’t know. It really goes to show you how insular and isolated our community is from the public.

Lol..I guess it’s the same in every expert field though.

I have a guitarist friend that is always name-dropping, and I’d be damned if I know one or two names of those he mentions.

As you said, it’s a matter of community isolation. I don’t know if this is good or bad though.
