YouTube ‘Share’ feature is slightly confusing
…Mind the ’slightly’.
When you’re logged out and click on the ‘Share’ link, YouTube offers a triad of ways to share stuff with others: by URL, e-mail or by logging in and using the whole slew of share features offered to registered users.
It does a good job of differentiating between the three, but why the numbers? By listed them in an ordered list, users may think that these are the steps of a procedure, meaning you first have to do the first, then second, then third.
I know this has passed through my mind when I first saw that.
On top of that, why exclude the social bookmarking way of this list and place it on top? This turns confusing quickly.
Thoughts?
