The author of this blog is named Zaharenia Atzitzikaki and designs websites for life. No, not to gain life essentials, dear readers & aggregators, but to keep breathing.
After this ridiculously humongous and cliche tagline, let’s strip back to normal.
She comes from Heraclion, from the island of Crete, Greece. She was born on December 23rd, 1982, only to be faced with all the hard things in life: school, fava beans & other children.
After finishing school, she entered Computer Science Department of University of Crete, only to be allowed out 5 years later. Ok, 5 and a half, but that last semester didn’t count. She works as a professional web designer since February 2005, but she’s already certain that there isn’t anything she’s never seen before. Especially as far as clients are concerned.
She recently discovered the joy of Web Standards, and since then she strives to gain a modest level of expertise on that field. In parallel with her day job, Zaharenia works as a freelancer web designer, a blogger and a full-time RSS aggregator. Literally.
She’s happily involved in a long-time relationship with Michael. In her free time, she also loves experimenting with Photoshop and dark arts, but in a good way. You can check the outcomes at her digital home in DeviantArt. Or you can check her out in Facebook, the only social networking site that managed to keep her.
Also, as you can see, she avoids photos like it’s 1996.
